  • Odrazka Old Town - is a historic core of Prague. There are concentrated the most of famous Prague monuments. The center of the Old Town is Staroměstské náměstí (the Old Town Square). There is the famous astronomical clock called „Orloj“. It was built in 1410 and it consists of three parts - the processions of the Apostles, peeking in and out of the clock’s upper part, the Astronomical clock and a calendar. It is possible to see 12 moving wooden statues of the Apostles every hour.

    How to get there?
    It is about 15 min. from Hostel Florenc. The bus no.133 at the Florenc bus stop takes you to the Staroměstská stop. You can also opt for the metro and take the red line „C“ at Florenc and get off at the Muzeum stop, then change to the green line „A“ and get off at the at the Staroměstská.

    Karlův most

    Odrazka Charles Bridge - the oldest stone bridge over the Vltava River in Prague from the 14th century connects the Old Town and the Lesser Town. On both sides it is possible to visit the Bridge Towers – Old Town Bridge Tower and Lesser Town Bridge Towers. There you will learn about the history of these monuments and the peak is a panoramic view of Prague.

    How to get there?
    It is about 5 min. by walk from the Old Town Square or It is about 20 min. from Hostel Florenc. The bus no.133 at the Florenc bus stop takes you to the Staroměstská stop.

    Odrazka Prague castle - the most important monument of the Czech Republic. The biggest castle complex in the World! (Nearly 70 000 m2). It is monument written in UNESCO too. It is situated in Prague's part called Hradcany. Very interesting is the Changing of the Guard. The ceremony by the Castle gates takes place every hour. You can also visit the Golden Lane with exposure in the lane approaching life in all stages of its 500 year existence and other objects of the Prague castle, such as the Old Royal Palace, the permanent exhibition The Story of the Prague Castle, the Basilica of St. George, the Prague Castle Picture Gallery, Powder Tower Mihulka, the gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, the Rosenberg Palace, etc.

    How to get there?
    It is about 20 min. from Hostel Florenc. Take the tram no.8 at the Florenc stop and get off at Hradčanská. You can also opt for the metro and take the red line „C“ at Florenc and get off at the Muzeum stop, then change to the green line „A“ and get off at the at the Hradčanská.

    Malá Strana


    Odrazka Lesser town– is located on the left side of the Vltava river with many romantic corners (for example: the Čertovka river and Kampa island). The center of entertainment and social life is the Lesser Town Square with a number of clubs, restaurants, music bars and pubs. From the Lesser Town Square leading up to the Prague Castle Neruda Street, completes the so-called Royal Way - where the future rulers had to walk before they were crowned. The Nerudova street perfectly reflects the style of life of rich townsmen of the 18th and 19th, their splendid houses are still a part of Prague’s historical and cultural heritage.

    How to get there?
    It is about 18 min. from Hostel Florenc. Take the yellow metro line „B“ at Florenc and get off at the Národní třída stop, then change to the tram no.22 and get off at the at the Malostranské náměstí. You can also take the red line „C“ at Florenc and get off at the Muzeum stop, then change to the green line „A“ and get off at the at the Malostranská.

    Odrazka New Town– was established by the king Charles IV. The part of New Town was formerly a Horse Market - at present called Václavské náměstí (Wenceslas Square) that is 750 m long. There is the building of the National Museum and the riding statue of St. Wenceslas (the famous patron saint of the Czech Republic). This square is modern center of Prague including lot of shops, restaurants and cafés.

    It is about 8 min. from Hostel Florenc. Take the metro line „C“at the Florenc stop and get off at Muzeum.
